While I was sitting there listening to the talk around me, there was a grandma talking about her 3 month old grandbaby.
That during the mother's last ultrasound the baby's brain didn't seem to be developing right and so all were concerned. The grandmother went on to say that they were afraid that the baby could have down syndrome or some other genetic problem. All I could do was sit there.... part of me wanted to just scream out I have a baby with down syndrome, don't make it sound so bad! But I just sat there and kind of had a small pity party but thankful that my baby is healthy and doing good. I just hate the "oh I am sorry" looks, people may not say it out loud but they still give the look. You would think after 20 months I would be over this....Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-78007674271098655112009-07-16T18:39:00.000-07:002009-07-16T18:45:02.341-07:00"More"Things are still busy in this house maybe things will slow down soon. We have been getting up early so Ty and Tori could be at Vacation Bible School this week they have been having a real good time and enjoying themselves. This evening while hubby was working late I took the kids to the sprinkler park and of course I forgot my camera! We had been there for awhile, the older kids were ready to go but not Ty and Tawni. When we picked up Tawni to go instead of growling like she does she signed "more" so of course I was so happy we put her down and let her have more fun so off she went to play in the water! So proud of her!!!Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-23297857923704673202009-07-08T11:48:00.000-07:002009-07-08T12:08:31.004-07:00Houseful!Our house if full!!! Too bad I can't say it is all happy either. Just so many kids and not enough space seems like. We are dealing with two 18 year olds who say they are adults but still don't have much responsibility but thank goodness they both have finally gotten jobs! An angry, hormonal 16 year old that has all the answers to life! Two 12 year olds that think THEY are the ones in charge! A 10 year old with skin problems that's hard to keep in control. A strong-willed 3 year old that wants everything his way! And then the little 19 month old that can brighten your day with her sweet little smile!
I feel like that sweet little girl, Tawni is being neglected, I haven't been able to work with her like I had been doing. She's so sweet though she just goes with the flow. I did catch her the other day playing with her drop ball toy and she was doing so good, she would put the ball in the hole and then do the lever for it come out again and she was not having any problems at all. We're still working on the signing and it still seems to be getting better so I am thankful for that, she's pulling up more and more and cruising on the furniture our big goal now is to stand alone, when we try her legs just turn in to jelly though. Like I said though I haven't been able to work with her like I feel like I should be doing, from doing all the cleaning, laundry, cooking, breaking up fights trying to keep everyone happy. You would think with these older kids they would help out, but that just turns into a fight so I end up doing it myself. And yes I know with me doing that I am not teaching them anything! Wonder where I went wrong not teaching my kids how to take iniative to do things? Tori is pretty good about helping after you ask her and she complains some, she is good though about keeping her room clean so I should brag on her about that!
Well time to get off I hear my name being called, AGAIN!Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-59464140070683642012009-06-25T08:25:00.000-07:002009-06-25T08:39:10.129-07:00Just LifeI don't know why it takes me so long to blog. I have these ideas and I am going to write about them and then I guess I just get tired. Alot has been going on and so some of it I think is the "blues" and so I shut down and clam up.
Tawni is doing very good. She's had the croup a couple of times but not as bad as it has been, but we get through it and she's doing good. We have been doing swimming on saturday mornings and she really seems to be enjoying that. She has another front tooth coming in and looks like 2 more on the way! She is communicating more with us which has been so exciting. One of the saturdays that we went swimming I guess she didn't want to be there because she kept waving bye-bye, but I hugged her tight and told her we were going to stay and we would leave soon, but I was so proud of her for communicating with me. She's signing eat better and trying the sign for "more" and "mommy" which I love! We've had to move her into Tori's room (will post on the reason why later when I truly work through it) but she has adjusted well of course Tori has spoiled her, because now when Tawni wakes up she stands up in her bed to the side closest to Tori and yells at her until Tori gets her out and puts her in bed with her! So cute!
Ty is doing pretty good on going potty, it's off and on but about what I expected. Tori leaves on monday to go to South Padre for the week with our church, lucky girl I think she will have a blast! Also on monday the 3 step-kids will be here for a month so I am praying that goes well, last summer was not a pleasant one at all! Just one of the hard things of being a step-parent! I know I don't have alot of readers but I do ask of anyone that does read this to please say a little prayer for our family. We are having some major ups and downs going on around here and we are taking it day by day! Thanks!Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-10236161953465711332009-06-10T20:15:00.001-07:002009-06-10T20:18:07.923-07:00Wordless Wednesday<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_SGuxj0wePGU/SjB3Pf_Oa-I/AAAAAAAAAC0/2Sm1LX4t80M/s320/Mom%27s+pictures+581.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5345903865857207266" />Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-61435981493910264652009-06-10T19:56:00.000-07:002009-06-10T20:07:31.412-07:0018 months old and going to CrazyYesterday we went for Tawni's 18 month check-up and Ty's 3 year check up.
Tawni is 22.5 lbs and 31 ins. long, she is growing very well. Ty is 35 lbs and 36 ins. long. I am not sure Tawni's length is right, I can't imagine Ty only being 5 ins taller than her. Ty did good and performed well, knew his shapes and colors, he is very smart. Tawni did good also, she only had to get one shot, but the blood they had to take was like getting 3 shots! Tawni has been having awful and I mean awful smelling diapers! So this next week I will be collecting stool samples, doesn't that sound so much fun?!?!

Tonight while we were playing outside and Ty was driving his car, he said, "Mom, I'm at Crazy." I just laughed! There are crazy things going on in our lives right now and so when Ty asks "where are we going?", I tell him, "we are going to Crazy, you want to go?" so I guess he made it there tonight, little does he know his mom is already there ☺Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-27030080164033866862009-06-04T18:51:00.000-07:002009-06-04T18:54:39.761-07:00New Toy?Tawni discovered something new today... she realized she can pull up on the toilet and play in the water...☺ Time to put down the lids!Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-69603461620908815472009-06-01T13:24:00.000-07:002009-06-01T14:00:45.086-07:0018 months and Summertime!Hard to believe but Tawni is now 18 months old! School will be out in a few days and the summer begins! Last summer when Tawni was 6 months old, I was in a real dark place in life. Contributing factors, Tawni being the 8th child, learning about down syndrome, quitting my job that I loved, the financial strain of quitting my job, not to mention that at the beginning of summer, Ty burned his hand so bad that he wouldn't use it for 4 months even after it was healed, it took some therapy to get him to use it again. I used to think last year what this year would be like with Tawni being 18 months old and what all she would or would not be doing. I am in a better place now, thank you, Lord! Tawni will always be the 8th child and the icing on our cake. I am still learning about down syndrome but now know alot more and how to deal and how to help her. I still miss my job but love the one I'm at now being at home. The financial strain is still there but God has always helped us through and provided for our needs. And this year Ty knows to stay away from lights! Not sure what this summer has in store for us, I know TJ will be graduating just not sure what direction he will be going in, I am in heavy prayer mode about that one. Tori has some summer camps in her plans and I know she will be a big help for me! Tawni and I will be working on signing and getting her stronger on her legs, Ty and I will be working on potty training (Lord help me!) and working on his behavior and talking. There will be some court dates somewhere in the mix for Gerald has had to take his ex back to court to get summer visitation and possibly the kids living with us. So it should be an eventful summer! I just thank the Lord that I am not in that dark place anymore and I can face life head on!Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-75459838057662058632009-05-27T19:16:00.000-07:002009-05-27T19:29:10.698-07:00SigningTawni finally has a front tooth coming in!
I have been concerned about her signing. I read about other kids with ds that are younger than her or the same age as her and they are already signing several words. I know I shouldn't compare.... but it concerns me, makes me think is she pretty mentally challenged? But she can do "patty-cake" and "peek-a-boo". And then this week, she is signing "eat", and "play", she can also do "all-done". The only thing is she does it when we say the word not really in a way of telling us what she wants, she usually just whines and I know what she wants. Except this morning after taking Tori to school when I was getting Tawni out of the car seat she was signing eat!!! Yeah! I was so excited, and then we all started clapping!
We started potty training Ty today, so we will see how that goes. Sometimes he's willing and then other times he says no way!

We had a good Memorial Day weekend! TJ and his girlfriend came over on monday and we all went to the lake for a couple of hours. Later they came over and we grilled. Ty and Tori played in the water and Tori learned a lesson, when asked if you want some sunscreen, say YES! Or end up like a lobster and in pain like she is now!Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-20105731517827977582009-05-23T17:57:00.000-07:002009-05-23T18:05:54.213-07:00A Little TasteWell, I have not been feeling well today, I either picked up some kind of bug or food poisoning. Anyways, I have been out of it today. So this morning my precious daughter Tori got the babies up, made their breakfast and feed them and even cleaned up! She is so awesome, even right now, while I am sneeking this in she is in the room playing with the babies. For the rest of the day my husband has been on duty. Which bless his heart has been a little humorous to watch. Dinner time seems to be the most chaotic around here, so made it to the couch to lay down and I just couldn't help but smile, he got a "little taste" of what I do in the evenings. Tawni wants dinner and she wants it now!! Cheerios sometimes just don't do the trick she wants the real deal. Ty's in the living room while dad is in the kitchen cooking and he too is yelling "Daddy where is my truck" over and over and over again! All I could do was smile! So now Tori is playing with the babies, well because Daddy is tired and needs to rest for a minute before bath and bedtime☺Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-28940762869586778072009-05-16T19:08:00.000-07:002009-05-16T19:17:46.650-07:00Just a SlackerI don't know why I haven't blogged in so long. Just a slacker I guess ☺
Tawni is doing so good, pulling up on EVERYTHING, and climbs up the stairs in the blink of an eye!
Ty is growing and talking like crazy! He did qualify to go to school 2 days a week for 2 hours to help work on his speech. I really think he will enjoy it and be so happy. We haven't told him yet because well you know telling an almost 3 year old can't understand that it is still 3 months away.
Tori CAN'T WAIT to get out of school and I know TJ can't wait, I know I am excited about him graduating. I really worry about him though being out in the real world, hoping I did teach him how to be responsible. He has not made some wise choices here lately so hopefully he will shape up really fast!
Well I think my hubby is home, I let him have an evening out to go see a movie, hopefully he will return the favor!Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-6521666504253004122009-04-27T18:44:00.000-07:002009-04-27T18:50:29.080-07:00New Things!New things around here are Tawni has her 2nd molar coming in! No front teeth but 2 molars! She now loves to play peek-a-boo, it is just so sweet! The third thing she is doing new and it is not so sweet, is she will eat a little and then start throwing the food off of the high chair. Not good! She's not done because she wants more food, but she also loves to play the drop game, you know the one, she drops it and we pick it up, I guess she thinks she can do this with her food. NOT! So now we are trying to teach her not to do that, because mom is really tired of mopping three times a day☺Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-22784466984591630882009-04-15T13:22:00.000-07:002009-04-15T13:33:55.383-07:00So Sweet!Things have been going ok around here. Easter was good, a time for spending some time with family and just visiting. The 9th was our 4th year wedding anniversary and we celebrated watching the kids play outside ☺ Friday night my in-laws did keep the little ones for a couple of hours so we could have a quiet dinner out, it was so nice I almost forgot what it was like to eat without kids.

Tawni is doing good, she has a molar coming in! She barely has two front bottom teeth and now a molar, I guess better for her to chew! She loves going up the stairs hopefully she will learn how to come down instead of wanting to come head first. She has also learned to do I guess what they call a "bear walk", she still gets around faster by crawling but it so cute to watch her to her half walk is what I call it. We found out her iron is low so we have more testing to do tomorrow and hopefully she will just have to have some iron drops. I have been reading that she may need vitamin supplements so I need to discuss that with her dr also.

Ty is getting bigger and talking more and more and I do mean MORE! Lateley though it has been so sweet, when Tawni fusses any, even just the littlest bit, he looks at her and says. "it's ok, Bubba is here, Bubba is right here" He wants to take care of her, he loves her so much, I pray they will always have a good relationship.Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-62613530790051651042009-04-06T19:34:00.000-07:002009-04-06T19:43:20.665-07:00Finally!Yeah finally my baby Tawni is signing "eat"! We have been working on this for months!
And she is waving "bye-bye" and actually trying to say "bye-bye" as she is waving! We are so excited and so happy!

I had to take Tawni to the dr today, she had a round of croup last night but thankfully not bad enough for a trip to the ER. So as we are sitting there, Tawni, Ty and I waiting for the dr, Ty sits on the dr's stool and he says " I am the dr" So I went with it...
Me: "You're the dr?"
Ty: "Yes"
Me: "what is your name?"
Ty: "My name is Dr. Ty"
Me: "So dr, what is wrong with Tawni?"
Ty: "She's got the croups"
Poor baby, at 2, he knows why we have to go the dr so much.Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-71810220185392954842009-04-01T11:38:00.000-07:002009-04-01T11:45:09.923-07:00It's Official! It's official, I can't leave Tawni downstairs to play while I am putting laundry away upstairs. I left Tawni in the kitchen playing with the dining chairs and I came upstairs to make Ty's bed which takes about 2 minutes and when I turned the corner there was Tawni half-way up the stairs! As I picked her up she growled at me like "I was having fun climbing!"

We had to make another trip to the eye dr. She has a bump on her eye like a sty but it's not a sty it's called some weird name☺ Anyways she has antibiotic ointment for it and it has put off the patching of the eye for awhile and another visit in 4 weeks to make sure the bump is gone and if not we have to do surgery to drain it.

Also while we are hitting all the appointments I through a dental check up in there and all is good with Ty and Tawni's teeth, well Ty's teeth, Tawni's tooth!Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-49093198782278996342009-03-29T11:26:00.001-07:002009-03-29T11:29:37.886-07:00Yeah Tawni!!This morning as we were getting ready for church, I guess Miss Tawni felt adventerous so she crawled over to our stairs and I couldn't believe it, she got all the way up onto the first step, she sat there looked around "like I think I can do this" and so she did, she started climbing up our stairs!! We were all so happy, I even cried tears of joy! And we were only a little late to church, but it was all worth it☺Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-57663791116808089012009-03-25T18:53:00.000-07:002009-03-25T19:07:38.129-07:00EyesWe took Tawni to the optometrist today and I took it pretty well because I was expecting to what was going to happen. We knew that Tawni's right eye crossed in, but it was kind of hard to swallow that he had said it gotten worse, which we knew but is always hard to take hearing it out loud. So for awhile we will patch her left eye for an hour a day and see if that helps. She is also very nearsighted and will need glasses soon but just hate to do it at still a very young age. It's hard to take but Tawni just can not see very well, with being nearsighted, cross-eyed and having nystagmus. But you know what, it doesn't slow that baby down!

A few things going on around here is she actually pulled all the way up on the couch yesterday, I don't know that she realized what she did because she was to busy chasing Ty. Then a little bit later she pulled herself all the way up on our bottom step and laid there. It was like she was trying to figure out how to climb up the stairs like everyone else does.
Another thing going on, is my husband's ankle starting hurting on saturday and he thought he had just twisted it, sunday it felt a little better but was sore, and then monday it was really hurting, so much that I asked him to go to the dr that night but he didn't, he said he would go on tuesday. He called our dr to get an appointment and they couldn't see him til friday, so he went tuesday evening to a minor clinic and they determined he has a BLOOD CLOT in his ankle! I am so glad he didn't wait til friday. They gave him some medicine and today it is feeling better. Just so scary for him to have something so dangerous. Like the song says, My Life Would Suck Without Him!☺Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-7761360658580072502009-03-23T10:05:00.000-07:002009-03-23T10:22:18.916-07:00Our night, or should I say early morning. At 12:30 a.m., I heard it, you know "the cough" that croupy cough. So I checked in on Tawni, and thought honey I am too tired for an ER visit, so please just let it be a cough. So she settled down for about 45 minutes and then it started again and it came on with a vengeance, so at 1:30 I picked her up and tried to calm her down and knew it was time to go to the ER, so I yelled at my husband to help me so I could get dressed, and then 1 minute later, I was screaming at my husband, Tawni CAN'T BREATHE, CALL 911! And what seemed like forever, the fire truck and ambulance finally came. And to add we live in a culdasac, so I know my neighbors are just loving us with all the lights and sirens at 2:00 in the morning! So with a breathing treatment in the ambulance and one in the ER plus a dose of steroids, Tawni seems to be feeling better, just tired. We already made a trip to the pediatrician's office and they said she sounds great, so I am thankful :) It just amazes me how fast it comes on, she actually had a great day yesterday, playing outside and crawling up and down the step, and in out of the house, which is another big accomplishment for her!
Tori is also sick and will be going to the dr this afternoon. Ty seems ok his allergies are acting up, we didn't get him up last night but I am sure it woke him up, he is just so good about laying in his bed and going back to sleep but he seems really tired today so hopefully he will take a good nap!
Spring time is here and I was hoping all this sickness was behind us!Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-84518660089462935522009-03-21T10:20:00.000-07:002009-03-21T11:00:12.958-07:00Tawni and her lollipop!Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-67428875612135201852009-03-19T18:49:00.000-07:002009-03-19T19:16:02.318-07:00Sorry for the Attitude:(Well this week has been Spring Break for the kids and it's gone by fast. Tori went to Fiesta Texas today and won't be back til late, I hope she has had a good time!
We've gotten haircuts and this week and even made a drs visit. Yes, Tawni had some kind of bug where she was running a 102 fever, but seems better now. Ok so on a couple of blogs I have read they are talking about if they would take the DS away from their child. And I can't say what I would do, just like if I could go back would I have found out that Tawni had DS and I don't know if I would, all I know is it was and is in God's hands and turned out the way it did for a reason. Things I don't like, is like at the drs. office there was a young mother with her baby and she kept smiling at Tawni and talking to her and all she kept telling me is "she is smart, she is so smart, I can tell she is", and then today we had a special breakfast at McDonald's and Tawni reached for Ty's cup and knocked it to the ground and a man picked it up and put it back on the table and said, "she knows what she wants and goes after it, that's good, that's good, she knows what she wants and does something about it", of course my husband says he thinks they were just trying to say comforting comments to me and I guess I take it the wrong way, just like when people smile at Tawni or say she is so cute, I think do they really think that or are they just saying that because she's the "cute Down's baby", just a bad attitude, right?? I had a good friend tell me the other day, I just need to face reality and accept her for who she is and quit comparing her and wishing for something else. God gave us her for a reason and I need to emabrace it!
Of course I do worry about what she will face in the future but I also worry about what my other kids will face in their future and their not so noticable delays. It's kind of like when people tell me Tawni is such a blessing and she is but so are my other 4 kids! I just wonder sometimes what will I tell her when she asks why she is different? I love Tawni, we all love Tawni so much!Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-23153779781777867712009-03-14T18:57:00.000-07:002009-03-14T19:23:30.376-07:00Am I doing Enough?I know Tawni is doing good and doing things at her own pace, like this week she can put the balls in her ball toy the kind you put the balls in the top and then push the lever and they come down. We are so proud of her and just love it when she does something new! So today we had our DS playgroup and we had such a good time, I loved talking to parents I haven't met and then ones I have seen and finally had some time to talk more to them. Ty and Tori had a blast! Tawni just kind of hung out mostly in daddy's and mommy's arms and some time playing on the floor with the balls. But then I find myself comparing my baby to other babies and I get so mad at myself for doing that and then I find me questioning myself, "am I doing enough with her?", "should I be getting her MORE therapy?" I want nothing but the best for Tawni and want to do everything I can for her!

So on another note and yucky one at that.... poor Tawni has had the stinkiest gas!
And she hasn't ate anything different. And yesterday, well a little history first, Tawni has been on a laxative everyday until about a month ago and then she started going by herself without any help, but starting last week her poop has been so runny and so much that yesterday it ruined one of her outfits. Her appetite has even changed and the only thing I can figure is that she is teething. She has one tooth and the second one is on its way. Poor baby.Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-91039131294441671352009-03-08T18:46:00.000-07:002009-03-08T19:02:10.673-07:00Good Weekend! We had a good weekend! Ty got a haircut and I must say he does look so handsome!
Tanner stayed the whole weekend and was such a blessing to be around!
Tori went with the youth group and helped paint a church over in east Austin!
And Miss Tawni has been able to pull up to things and get on her knees to play but today, she stood up on her legs! She still has to learn how to stand straight up but it won't take her long to figure it out, we were so proud of her!!!

We were out shopping this weekend and we ran into a lady and she told us, you're going to have fun with her talking about Tawni, and we said yes and agreed. She then told us she has a son 40 years old and he is one class away from getting his scuba diving license and is involved in so many activities and still keeps her on the go constantly. We thought that was cool and pray that Tawni will be the same way.
I still deal with the idea that Tawni will probably still be at home when she is older, and I still deal with feelings when people look at Tawni and know she has DS.

Good weekend, except for the time change which I am not a big fan of, I like the more time outside but I like my sleep too!Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-16241663428915834172009-03-06T18:50:00.000-08:002009-03-06T19:03:30.106-08:00Hello Again!Wow! I didn't realize it had been so long since I had blogged. Everything has been going pretty good, all of our therapy appointments have been good and Tawni is
just growing and growing. She even has a 2nd tooth coming in! I just didn't realize it would take her so long to get teeth. Since the weather has been so nice we have been playing outside and leaving our front door open so her big thing now is getting down the step to go outside and the even bigger thing that she tries and will do if she wants to is getting back up the step to come inside. Her and daddy have a new game, he gets on the floor with her and she crawls over his legs over and over. And if Ty is a willing participant he will let her crawl over him and they both just laugh and laugh.
Speaking of Ty he is growing so fast also! He comes up with new sentences everyday. We even have a new neighbor that has a little girl just a few months older than him and let me tell you he is in love....He gets so excited when his friend comes home and they can play. We also had some friends whose children had outgrown it gave us a swing set! So awesome to have, Ty loves to swing!!
Well the kids are in bed and it's time to spend some time with the hubby!Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-31517417868345686862009-02-20T20:06:00.000-08:002009-02-20T20:07:53.507-08:00Beautiful..I found this on the blog, Lila's Miracle Life, and thought it was such beautiful words....

Someone I love relies on me in ways you will never understand. Someone I love endures pain and challenges that break my heart and renew my spirit at the same time. Someone I love is unable to advocate for themselves for things that most of us take for granted. Someone I love will never have the opportunities that every child should have.Someone I love will need unconditional love and support after I am gone-this frightens me to the core. Someone I love encounters pity, stereotyping responses, and prejudice at every turn, because they look,act,and/or learn differently than others. Someone I love has needs that require me to allow "outsiders" to have power and input in areas that should be mine alone to meet. Someone I love will continue to look to me for everything in life long after other children are able to assume a place as part of the world. Someone I love has needs that require more time and energy than I have to give. Someone I love has needs that mean I am not able to meet basic needs of my own. Someone I love has needs that have become the driving force behind major decisions my family makes. Someone I love has changed me in ways I will never be able to describe. Someone I love has taught me about love and about the really important things in life.......Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-751875574325699784.post-54504332421343175092009-02-20T13:50:00.000-08:002009-02-20T13:55:25.773-08:00Praise The Lord!We are back home and with all good reports!!! We are praising God all over the place!
Tawni's hearing is good and there no deformaties on her insides! They did biopsies of her stomach and esophagus to check her acid levels and we will have those results in a couple of days. She did so good for not getting to eat until around 12:00 p.m. and when I started breastfeeding she would not let go. She ate a late lunch and now is laying down she was so sleepy. Praise God!!Shellihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16954049686901890516noreply@blogger.com0
